CIO Event “ESM & Xurrent in Dialogue”

On July 22, 2025, we had the pleasure of hosting our exclusive CIO event on enterprise service management (ESM) and Xurrent at Serviceplan in Munich – and we are happy to say: it was a complete success. In an inspiring atmosphere with an impressive venue, high-quality conversations and a strong group of decision-makers, the evening brought together expertise, exchange and personal encounters.

Visions, insights and real-world experience

The evening kicked off with an inspiring keynote by Phil Christianson, Chief Product Owner at Xurrent, who gave an exciting look at the future roadmap, strategic goals and Xurrent's clear focus as a platform for modern ESM. His remarks sparked discussion and laid the perfect foundation for the rest of the evening. This was followed by three strong talks from different perspectives:

• Florian Kurz, CEO of bamero AG – and a long-standing partner of blu Systems – impressively demonstrated the role enterprise architecture management (EAM) plays in sustainable, structured IT transformations and how it meshes meaningfully with ESM.
• Thomas Volpini, Service Manager at APA-IT, offered an open look behind the scenes of the Xurrent rollout at APA-IT – including challenges, lessons learned and success factors.
• Marcus Römer, Head of Service Delivery at Global Blue, shared his company's success story with Xurrent – practical, strategically well thought out and focused on process quality and customer value.

Exchange as equals – and conversations with the vendor

Alongside the talks, there was plenty of room for genuine exchange – over dinner, over a drink or directly with the vendor. Xurrent was on site all evening to answer questions, gather requirements and engage in dialogue with CIOs and IT leaders. The networking, venue and atmosphere were great from the very start – there was discussion, laughter, networking and plenty of toasts. Exactly as we had hoped.
